Welcome to the 24th annual Lowland Games!

A chance for everyone to come and enjoy “a bit of country fun” and have a brilliant family day out.

There will be giggletastic fun to be indulged in, whether you choose to take part in the mud encrusted games or whether you would just like to watch the fun from the river bank whilst enjoying a slice of homemade cake and a cuppa.

People flock to the Lowland Games for all the fun and frolics to be had in one fabulous day. This includes the highlight of the day, the raft river race with competitors in the most hilarious fancy dress. How often have you seen the Pink ladies competing against batman and local firemen to be the first down the river? We also have the infamous mud wrestling arena, the river it’s a knock out, children’s games, family dog shows, gun dog scurry and the tug of war. There is entertainment with the fabulous ferret racing, teas and homemade refreshment and the best beer tent in the area, serving local ales and Somerset brewed cider from locally grown apples.

We also have events running from the 24th July. This will include a Thursday evening organised by Mid Somerset Riding Club, Friday night Sevington Hunt host the Inter Hunt Challenge. Enjoy live music on the Saturday night with “My So Called Hero’s” headlining the evenings frivolities, and supported by last years runner up of battle of the bands as chosen by Michael Eavis, “William Echo” a local favourite. It will be a brilliant night and tickets will be available on the door. Come and enjoy the music, beer and lots of frolics..... It’s going to be a hoot!


The Lowland Games is supported by local residents and businesses and raises money for charities and many local good causes. It’s a laugh from beginning to end and everyone who organises the event looks forward to seeing you there enjoying a little bit of country fun!!
